The 2025 Juniper Refresh What is new.
- Exterior & Aerodynamics
Its 2025 Model Y (codename Juniper) features the Cybertruck-inspired aesthetics, such as front and rear light bars that stretch across the entire body, flush door handles, and redesigned bumpers. It is a little longer (~4,797 mm) and more efficient, and the drag coefficient is increased 0.23 to 0.22, or speeds 4-5 percentage points better aero-dynamically.
- Performance & Range
The Long Range AWD currently provides approximately 320 mi EPA range and 0-60 mph acceleration of about 4.1 s (previously approximately 4.8 s).
- Comfort & Interior Upgrades
o Improved noise insulation: 20-22% decreased road, wind and impact noise, due to acoustic glass, improved structure and refined suspension.
o Front and rear ventilated seats, power rear reclining seats and rear 8 inch touchscreen enhance comfort and functionality.
o Cabin upgrades have ambient light, aluminum trimming, better materials and larger 15.4-inch center display.
- Tech Enhancements
Adds a new front-facing camera, redesigned stereo system (up to 16 speakers) and metallic infrared reflective glass coating and quicker connectivity hardware.
- Third-Row Option
In late mid-2025, Tesla began to sell a seven-seat Model Y in some markets again.

Tesla introduced a new Performance trim in Europe in order to boost sales:

Dual motor, 460 hp, 0-100 km/h in under 3.5 s, 580 km WLTP range, 16.2 kWh/100 km energy consumption, fast charging-243km in 15 minutes.
- Design & Features
Larger 21-inch so-called Arachnid wheels, carbon-fiber spoiler, new bumpers, adaptive suspension, and interior improvements such as 16-inch QHD touchscreen, sport seats, and aluminum pedals.

Tesla launched this trim when the sales of the Model Y in Europe had decreased by 30-40% and when it faced serious competition with such brands as BYD.

Tesla has made its first step in India with the Model Y:

o RWD (Standard): ₹59.89 lakh
o Long-Range RWD: ₹67.89 lakh.
- Range & Performance
The Long-Range variant provides a maximum range of 622 km (WLTP) and acceleration to 0100 km/h in approximately 5.6 s. The Standard RWD is a little bit less range (~500 km).
- Customization (additional charge)
Colors: Stealth Grey (standard); Pearl White, Diamond Black (add. ₹95,000); Glacier Blue (add. 1.25 lakh); Quicksilver and Ultra Red (add. 1.85 lakh).

- Booking & Delivery Timeline
Booking token: 22, 220; confirmation fee: 3 lakh. Standard and Long-Range RWD start delivery in Q3 and Q4 2025, respectively.
- Support Infrastructure
Tesla has already opened the first Experience Centre and V4 Supercharging station in Aerocity in Delhi and has intentions of opening up additional showrooms and support services in the main cities.
- Demand & Challenges
In spite of the hype, just under 600 bookings to date. Tesla is much more expensive than its international prices due to expensive importation duties (up to 110%). This meant that the planned shipments in 2025 reduced by 80% (to ~350500 units).
